Corral Boss/ Head Wrangler — Permanent: Year-Round

Corral Boss/Head wrangler  wanted for year around Guest Ranch and Riding stable. We are looking for a person with extensive experience  with horses and people in the Guest Ranch and Riding Stables business. The Corral Boss is directly responsible for supervising and running all aspects of the horse corral operations.  He is the lead man in the corral is responsible for supervising the crew and making sure all their duties are carried out as directed.The Corral Boss is responsible for the care of the livestock including doctoring, feeding schedule, shoeing schedule saddling and tacking, maintaining tack, and maintaining the equipment, machines, and the buildings. One of the most important duties is evaluating the guest and sizing up the horse and rider and picking horses for the guest.The ability to train and ride colts in preparation for the string is also important.The Corral Boss must have the ability to lead, motivate, and supervize the crew to make sure they are accountable for performing their duties as expected.  Great people skills are a must as our business is all about giving our guest a great experience.

Starting $1800+ DOE per month plus housing, utilities and tips. More depending on experience and qualifications

Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch

Housekeeper — Seasonal: Jun 06, 2018 - Sep 20, 2018

Job Description

Housekeepers are responsible to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the Ranch guest accommodations and public areas, with the detailed attention necessary to ensure the high standards that distinguish the Ranch. Tasks and duties include: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, windows, and floors, doing laundry, maintaining and restocking supplies, sweeping and mopping, and other duties as assigned and needed. Must be trustworthy, team-oriented and have good work ethics. Must take pride in keeping the facilities clean and in exceptional working order. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements
Solid work ethic who are strong team players, responsible, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude. Experience a plus, but training is provided for all.

Compensation
Starting salary is $1,400 per month plus room and board for a 5 day work week. A completion bonus is paid to all employees who complete the season.  Additional bonus may be awarded based on exceptional performance.

Job Description

Accurately and efficiently prepare a variety of savory and sweet baked goods according to approved recipes for guests and fellow IRMR employees.  Assist in the daily operation of breakfast and lunch, specifically by helping to prepare salads and sandwiches to order for guest picnic lunches.  Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Compensation 

Salary is based on experience; a room and board package on the Ranch is included in the salary.   A completion bonus is paid to all employees who complete the season.  Additional bonus may be awarded based on exceptional performance.

Job Description

The wait staff is responsible for serving food and beverages in a friendly, professional and efficient manner to guests thereby adding to a positive guest experience. Duties include describing, selling and serving food and beverages in a positive and professional manner and performing all related dining room tasks. Duties also include other Ranch facilities cleaning and house-keeping assistance. Attentive, gracious, service to guests, careful performance of daily side work, and adherence to standards and practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen and service areas are essential elements of the Ranch wait staff job. Also performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements
Friendly and outgoing. Motivated and detail-oriented. Team worker – dependable and responsible. Good memory skills to attend to guest dietary needs and for personal attention. Knowledge of fine dining and wine service preferred. Excellent written and verbal language skills. Exceptional communication skills. Able to lift up to 20 pounds.

AM Line Cook — Seasonal: Jun 06, 2018 - Sep 20, 2018

Job Description

Accurately and efficiently prepare any items, ingredients, and dishes on your station for IRMR guests and fellow staff.  Follow recipes, prepare, portion, and cook food products.  Also perform other duties in the areas of service including preparing, plating, and garnishing of cooked and cold items for a la carte and buffet service. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Compensation 

Starting salary is based on experience; a room and board package is included in the salary.   A completion bonus is paid to all employees who complete the season.  Additional bonus may be awarded based on exceptional performance.

AM and PM Guest Services Host/Office Assistant — Seasonal: Jun 06, 2018 - Sep 20, 2018

Job Description

Working under the direction of the Lodge and Office Managers, and in cooperation with other service staff, the main responsibilities of the Guest Services Hosts are to interact with guests with professionalism and grace, while performing all related office and floor duties, during day and evening shifts. Hosts are responsible for enthusiastically welcoming guests, setting the tone and then properly maintaining the Ranch welcome throughout their stay with attentive service and careful attention to the details of host tasks. Daytime shifts are more focused on office responsibilities; the evening shifts are more involved with the dining and beverage program, as well as performance of office functions. Hosts will be trained and able to work AM and PM guest services shifts. Responsibilities include: acquainting guests with our program and available activities at check-in and throughout their stay, assisting in planning and booking activities and appointments, retail sales, billing, check-outs, making reservations and appropriate follow-up, handling phone calls and emails, generating daily and weekly guest reports, fielding communications received by the office and disseminating information appropriately, seating and servicing guests during the dinner hour, including beverage service. Hosts also will provide assistance to the Office Manager, e.g., with paperwork and routine tasks, as requested. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.  Assist with prep as needed.  Understand and follow receiving and rotation guidelines.  Keep Kitchen cleaned and organized.  Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The person responsible for the children’s program plans activities, crafts, and games appropriate to the participating children’s ages and the available Ranch facilities, safely entertaining and playing with the children during the evening dinner hour 3 nights per week. Most children participating are 6-12 years of age; there are occasions when younger children join the program. These shifts would be combined with another position, for example Housekeeper, Wait staff, or Guest Services Host.

Compensation 

Starting salary is $1,400 per month plus room and board for a 5 day work week.   A completion bonus is paid to all employees who complete the season.  Additional bonus may be awarded based on exceptional performance.

Job Description

Directly responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen in absence of the Executive Chef. Duties include, but are not limited to; staff supervision, food purchasing, food preparation (assuring the highest standards of plate presentation, portion and cost control and sanitation and cleanliness) and the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.  Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
